The History of Ikon GeoPressure

Ikon GeoPressure was founded in 1997 as GeoPressure Technolgy and grew out of the Durham GEOPOP consortia.

Since these academic beginnings, the company has grown to offer training and consultancy in pressure problems, as well as a suite of niche software designed to manage and visualise pressure data. The company still has close links to the University of Durham and is actually located on their Science park in the University of Durham Science Park in the historic city of Durham, North East England. We maintain links with research groups of Durham University focused on challenges relating to fluid pressures in the subsurface and more recently with the school of engineering and computing.

In 2006, GeoPressure Technology became an Ikon Science company and in 2010 the Ikon GeoPressure brand was formed.
